Movie Review: Fight Club
There's a lot to be said for 'Fight Club' but what ever there is to be said, must be said after we give acclamation to the true author of the story Chuck Palahniuk. The author writes books that fall into the genre of 'transgressive fiction'
"Transgressive fiction is a genre of literature that focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations of society and who use unusual and/or illicit ways to break free of those confines. Because they are rebelling against the basic norms of society, protagonists of transgressional fiction may seem mentally ill, anti-social and/or nihilistic. The genre deals extensively with taboo subject matters such as drugs, sex, violence, incest, pedophilia, and crime."

So with that in mind, if the above doesn't interest you in the slightest, stop reading this review, because the tale of 'Fight Club' is one that deals with most of the above. Wikipedia put it best, taboo subjects, they exist, and the movie puts those subjects to cinematography and familiar faces to create a movie that is truly fantastic.
Now if you are somewhat knowledgeable about the author, then you'll understand this mathematical equation;
Chuck Palahniuk's "Fight Club" + Brad Pitt + Edward Norton = An Amazing Movie.
