500 Days Of Summer
Movie Review: 500 Days Of Summer
Movie Review: 500 Days Of Summer
No matter what I put in this review, there is no way to describe this movie.
Just normal enough to enter regular movie theaters, 500 Days Of Summer is *the* indie movie of the summer. At the Sundance film festival, it wowed audiences while staying true to reality, and in it's limited run through theaters across the country, I'm sure it will wow thousands of others.
500 Days Of Summer is the story of a boy, Tom, who was brought up to believe in love, and a girl, Summer, who always believed that love was just a made up story. It skips most of the techniques used in hollywood movies, and tells viewers how love really is.
If you've experienced being in love with someone who didn't return the feelings, this movie will most likely make you sad. If you've gotten over that, this movie will be something you can relate to on a different level.
I was able to see this movie by signing up for a promotional screener, and luckily it wasn't too far away from my house. I waited in line for an hour, drove 30 minutes, but this movie was still worth the time it took. If you can find this movie within an hour drive of your house, you won't be disappointed by going to see it. It definitely is one of my favorite movies, and I can't wait till it comes out on DVD.
