I picked up “The Haunting Of Molly Hartley” at Wal*Mart recently to 1) get scared, and 2) see how some of the actors I knew actually acted. I was disappointed in both of those aspects.

This movie is not scary. Granted, it may make you jump a few times, but it’s otherwise a very predictable movie. I’ll try not to spoil the movie, but the main character is not even being haunted. Lying title, young Hollywood actors, obviously, this movie was made for teenage girls who will pick it up to see Chace Crawford in something other than “Gossip Girl.”

The main character’s role in the school also confuses me. She is not attractive, actually, she’s one of the most unattractive people in the school, yet the most popular guy in school wants her? Bad casting. Another flaw in this movie is how characters seem to come out of nowhere and start talking like they’ve been in the movie the whole time. You haven’t.

I also watched this movie to see how Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Annalynne McCord (90210) and Jessica Lowndes (90210) would perform. It made me laugh to see, once again, that Chace Crawford was the richest guy who goes out with the bitchiest girl, and that the bitchiest girl is, once again, Annalynne McCord. Typecasting will ruin them.

Watch this movie if you’re bored. Otherwise, don’t worry about it. I had nothing to do, and had the internet been working, I would have possibly turned it off.
